New music every few months. All of it, everywhere.

Selected work

Four bodies of work, four different rooms.

From the three-song sketch of Triumvirate to the fourteen-track sprawl of The Edge of Sanity — the records, in order of how they actually happened.

The Edge of Sanity

Fourteen songs as a direct rebellious statement to the standard of music. Why write about breakups or love stories when I could write about consumer greed, a different type of pizza, and the pleasure of country music.

Matt Forte signature logo About

Six years of figuring it out in public.

I started releasing music in 2020 with colors., a five-song EP, then spent the next year putting out singles that were really just journal entries set to acoustic chords. By Triumvirate and See You Around, the production had caught up to the writing.

Graduate turned the anxiety of finishing school into a ten-song album, and The Edge of Sanity pushed further into the same territory — fourteen tracks about the exact moment before I decide whether to hold on or let go.

The newest songs — Feels Like, Nowhere At All, Pressure, Wait For Me — are shorter, plainer, and a little less afraid of being direct. Same handwriting, fewer words wasted.
